Benefits Information & LinksORP UpdateJust as a reminder, any UUPer who is a member of the ORP and who has ten (10) or more years of membership in the ORP as of April 1, 2008, will have their contributions reduced by 1% and the employer’s contribution will increase by 1%. UUPers should check their paychecks dated either April 2, 2008 or April 10, 2008 depending on their actual payday to make sure it reflects the 1% change. You should contact Human Resources Department if you believe you are eligible and do not see a change in your take-home pay. Subsequent reductions in employee contributions and increases in employer contributions will be implemented on and after April 1, 2009, resulting in the elimination of the employee contributions on and after April 1, 2010. The open period to renew or start a BJ's membership will be held quarterly. Reminders will be sent out in advance of each open period. The "Open/Enrollment Periods" are: Jan. 1 to Jan. 31 April 1 to April 30 July 15 to July 31 Oct. 1 to Oct 31 During these "Open/Enrollment Periods," membership applications can be picked up or requested by email or phone from the chapter office. Applications MUST be returned to the Chapter Office at the address given below. You may use campus mail. Under no circumstances will applications be accepted or distributed outside the "Open Periods." NO applications will be accepted directly at any BJ's location or by mailing to BJ's. To Be Crystal Clear: You MUST return your SIGNED application within the designated time period to the chapter office. Late applications will NOT be processed. The current Corporate Membership Offer is: Membership Period: All current memberships are for 15 months, which may be added on to an existing membership. It's a good idea to know your membership expiration date and coordinate renewals with an "open period." We would also like to encourage you to open or increase your contribution to a tax-deferred savings plan such as the SUNY 403(b) Voluntary Savings Plan or the 457 NYS Deferred Compensation Plan (please see below).
