UUP Clambake Tickets on Sale

Don't miss the 26th annual UUP Upstate Medical University & SUNY ESF Chapter Clambake at Hinerwadel's Grove on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 12:00 noon - 5:00 P.M. Cost is only $20 for UUP members and $45 for invited guests. There will be raffles, door prizes and a disc jockey rolling out the tunes. Get your tickets soon.

After 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, 4 September, no more tickets will be issued and you cannot buy them at the door. List of sellers. For the menu, see this poster.

Community General Meeting and Picnic

There will be another Picnic event on the Community Grounds in September. Join us on September 10th, in Meeting Room A&B for a short executive board session as well as a picinic including burgers and hot dogs courtesy of UUP.


March with UUP in NYC Labor Day Parade

Please let the office know by email or calling 422-5028. Bus from Syracuse will leave from the CAB at 6 AM. There will be a light breakfast and lunch provided.

Sign up now for a bus trip to New York City to take part in the annual New York City Labor Day Parade. The parade is set for Saturday, Sept. 6. UUP will offer free bus rides to and from the parade. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. It begins at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 44th Street, and continues up Fifth Avenue to 64th Street. UUP members, family and friends will get free UUP T-shirts to wear as they march. UUP President Fred Kowal said he expects as many as 500 UUP members to march in the parade. Thousands of unionists from New York City and across the state will take part in the event.

Lifetime Liberty benefits for Veterans

Governor Cuomo created a new Lifetime Liberty Pass to permit qualified New York State Veterans with disabilities discounted use of state parks, historic sites, and recreational facilities operated by the Office Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) and the state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). CGH Office Hours

On the last Tuesday of each month, an officer from UUP will have office hours at CGH in room 253 in the basement just around the corner from the classrooms A&B from 11 AM to 1 PM. Stop in to say hi or ask questions about UUP.
